If You have to Fly During the Holiday’s, Prepare
Categories: Flying During Holidays

When flying this holiday season, expect full flights and many delays from bad weather. The full flights can make it extremely difficult to get quickly on another flight if you are bumped, and to make new arrangements at the last minute from complications with flights and weather.
Make sure you have on-hand any medicine you may need in a delay, water and food, if possible, and a book or other diversions. Come prepared for long delays and complications. Also, allow yourself extra time to get though security since the holiday season is such a busy time to travel, and that many travelers at this time are inexperienced.
You can check that you are getting a good deal or search for air fares on online services, such as farecompare.com and farecast.com. Also to help spot potential delays, you can go onto online sites such as flightstats.com and flightaware.com, so you can prepare for difficulties. Also, it is suggested, if possible, to travel on Thanksgiving or Christmas day, as more seats will be available and at lower prices. Its also suggest to avoid flying the day before Thanksgiving, and the Sunday after, and the weekends bracketing Christmas, as those days have larger crowds and higher fares.
