Rapidly becoming the hottest vacation spot, Cancun, Mexico is growing in popularity. Making records as the number one Caribbean destination for Americans, the Caribbean Tourism Organization reports approximately 860,000 Americans registered in Cancun’s many newly renovated hotels from January until June this year. Cancun recorded the biggest increase in US visitors out of all the Caribbean destinations. Due to the ever-raising popularity, many hotels in Cancun’s hotel hot zone have been putting millions toward modernizing and up-grading their looks and accommodations.

Cancun offers many attractions, most found only miles away from the hotel hot zone; attractions such as gourmet restaurants, popular night spots, shopping, deep-sea and sport fishing and the Mayan ruins. If you’re visiting for the beauty of Cancun, you can’t miss the 11 beaches along this 16-mile long island.

With an average temperature of 80 degrees and 240 days of sunshine a year, Cancun is a year-round vacation spot. On an average of $150 a person per night, you can stay in one of the many re-furbished hotels and bask in Cancun’s beauty, and visit its many attractions. Though known for the popular night scene, Cancun is becoming more of a relaxing vacation spot than a spring-break party destination. Many hotels are building more upscale properties and losing the party-spot image with fewer hotels accepting groups of young people.

With the popularity raising, more hotels will be offering specials and more opportunities will be opening constantly. So any time of year is the perfect time to visit Cancun, whether it’s to get away from the cold or get away from it all.
